Reading Girls' School

Dance Festival 2011

Local Primary Schools gathered at Reading Girls' School for a Dance Festival

This is the second year running that Reading Girls’ School hosted the 2011 Dance Festival. The dance festival was as a result of the collaboration of work from primary and secondary schools within the Reading Schools Sports Partnership. The children had worked on their performances in both curriculum time and out of school hours.

It was a celebration of dance with local primary schools participating (Oxford Road School, Battle Primary School, Geoffrey Field Junior School and Wilson Primary School). The schools performed seven different dances in a range of styles to an audience of proud parents, family and teachers.

 Programme:

Oxford Road Community School - Streetdance

Geoffrey Field Junior School - Crazzzy

Battle Primary - Streetdance

Wilson Primary - Break it Off

Geoffrey Field Junior School - Cops and Robbers

Wilson Primary - Give Up the Funk

Reading Girls' School - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Modern Version)
