Higher Commendation awarded to RGS student
Ayesha achieved this commendation after entering a MFL Competition, encouraged by Miss Komba
A few weeks ago, Miss Komba (head of MFL) encouraged her students to enter the Oxford French Film Competition, organised by the University of Oxford Faculty of Medieval & Modern Languages. Students were asked to re-write the ending to the French film ‘Le Petit Nicolas’
One of our students, Ayesha (age 16) has just learned that she has been awarded a ‘Higher Commendation’ for her entry. Will McKenzie and Kate Rees, Competition co-organisers wrote: ‘The ‘Higher Commendation’ is a special category, reserved this year only for the three strongest entries besides the Winner and Runner-up. Congratulations therefore on this genuine achievement. The standard of entries was very high, demonstrating a wealth of imaginative engagement with French cinema. We very much enjoyed reading your entry and were particularly impressed by the vivid energy of your expression and your creative imagination.’
We are once again delighted that one of our students has been recognised for her efforts.
