2nd in Department - English

Salary: MPS/UPS TLR 2a £3,391

Start Date: April/September 2025

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Second in Department in English who will inspire and provide excellent outcomes for students, working alongside talented and highly motivated colleagues.

The successful candidate for this post of Second in Department will demonstrate commitment to their professional development, innovation in relation to their subject specialism as well as the ability to challenge students of different abilities to include the most able. They will be an outstanding classroom teacher in their career to date with evidence of successful teaching and a commitment to the wider life of a school and able to demonstrate leadership of a department or wanting to pursue the next step to leadership.
